After a long day of gardening, processing our goods, or just being busy and stressed, our skin deserves a wonderfully gentle soap that can only come from being naturally handmade.  I love my homemade milk soap, and I'm sure that you will as well. I have put together several options for you to choose.

     Enjoy looking through the products and see if there isn't one to meet your skin's needs with a scent you will love.  For those with sensitive skin prone to rashes, there is unscented milk soap (Au Naturel) as well -- no colorants added either. This oatmeal soap is also an option for those who have skin prone to irritations.

     You will not find harsh detergents as in box store soaps. Instead, soaps like Grandma used to put together in the kitchen (with the natural conditioning glycerin not stripped out) are sold here. I also add in cow's milk for the wonderful added gentleness to skin. I carefully create my recipes to work well with all my family's needs, too. Yes, we enjoy them as well! (Who with a teenage daughter wouldn't be spoiling them just a bit with their own special soap?)

     Most soaps that are made by the big companies have the natural glycerin from their actual "soaping process" stripped out and resold.  However, homemade, from scratch, soaps have not been stripped of the glycerin which makes up the true nature of a great handmade soap. These soaps are not melt and pour types, but instead real soap from oils and alkali. Specific oils such as olive oil are used in the creative process in such a way as to have their special properties show up with the amazing chemical reaction!

     Soaps are cured and aged for over a month to be mild and gentle to your skin. I also get some of the fat directly from a specialty shop to render or make the tallow myself, so there are no additives or preservatives in the tallow. It takes some significant extra time to do it completely from scratch, but making a product as free of preservatives and additives is very important to me.

     Various shapes, scents, sizes, and colors are available. Excellent for treating yourself to something your skin deserves or for gift-giving to those who enjoy some pampering. Any holiday and any day - a fine bar of heirloom handcrafted soap is a delight to savour on your skin. You'll be amazed by the wonderful difference!

Milk Soaps: These are very gentle, conditioning handmade bars!  I purposefully have made these so they won't strip natural oils from the skin and be drying. They hold their lather very well; so well, in fact, that this lather can be used for shaving for men or women! They include the following ingredients: Distilled water, Whole Cow's milk, Olive oil, Wild Game Tallow, Lard, Coconut oil, Castor oil, Sodium hydroxide, Sugar, Salt, Sodium lactate, Silk and may include: fragrance oil, borax, and colorant.

 Delicate Skin Bars - Au Naturel : These have no fragrance or coloring and are made extra mild with distilled water, whole cow's milk, olive oil, wild game tallow, lard, castor oil, sodium hydroxide, oatmeal, salt, honey, sugar, sodium lactate. These are naturally a beautiful creamy, honey colored beige color. The natural scent has a bit of oatmeal cookie to it! These are made in molds that have not had scent in them to keep them non-contaminated. Milk and oats are soothing to the skin and the gentle qualities of the oils used are very high so this soap also works for those who battle extremely dry skin or on babies.
