Absolutely delicious! This is a great friend's favorite small fruit with a surprisingly sweet taste. It tastes almost like a mix between a sweet cherry and a pineapple. The fruit falls from the plant before it is fully ripe and should be gathered and stored for a week or two until the husk has dried and the fruit has turned a golden-yellow. Some people think of this as a vegetable, but with its incredible sweetness, we really saw it as a fruit. Imagine it in jams, pies, and cobblers. Extremely easy to grow. Does well with starting indoors and transplanting. Plant two near each other for good fruit production and germination. It needs a companion to produce fruit, just like tomatillos and other ground cherries
