This was a beautiful deep red tomato, round, and just plain delicious. Not a crack or scar on any of them. Production was above average and the taste was very classic red tomato flavor. Size was approx. 8 to 12 oz. Definitely a terrific representative of the Brandywine family! It dates to the 1880s. "Tom Hauch at Heirloom Seeds got it out of the SSE Yearbook and was the first to offer it commercially. He sent seeds to Steve Miller at the Landis Museum and it was Steve who got the info about the origin." (Information provided personally via Tomatoville.com) 78 days. Indeterminate. Regular leaf. 6 to 8 tall. |
