Another of the wonderful pickling varieties that readily shows why it has been kept around for so long! Smooth, bright-green 3 inch fruits have black spines. Very high yield and considered resistant to mosaic virus and cucumber scale. Bears continually if kept picked. This is an ancient cultivar dating back to T. W. Woods in 1880.
